Join instructor Darren Mill for a great introduction to the guitar! Electric or Acoustic guitars welcome. During this 5-Week class you will:

  • Get to know all the parts of your guitar, from frets to strings.
  • Learn how to tune your instrument.
  • Explore the fundamentals of music notation.
  • Find out how to produce clear, beautiful notes and chords.
  • Start learning about rhythm, tempo and volume.
  • All in a fun, fast-paced class that will have you quickly playing songs!

BONUS! Participants have the opportunity to continue their instruction with a certificate for $25 off your first quarter of private lessons!

Our 2-hour workshop will get your tuned-up and feeling confident for your next show choir audition!

Workshop includes:

  • Vocal Tips for “My Country Tis of Thee” – Breathing, tone, and finding the right key for you.
  • Dance – Learn the most typical show choir dance steps and turns, with tips for practice and polish.
  • Audition Tips – How to deal with those nerves and present yourself like a show choir pro!

SNJ Saturday Strings – Summer Program

8 Weeks – June 3-July 29 (No lessons July 1)

Tuition: $158 (Regular price $218. A savings of $60!)

An eight week lesson package at a special introductory rate. We believe that students learn best through a combination of private instruction and group interaction, so our program consists of two cycles of 3 weekly private lessons followed by a group lesson on the fourth week.

Students entering 5th grade

Don’t go back to school rusty! This four-week refresher course is for students who have completed 4th grade strings and are planning to continue strings in 5th grade. We will review music and techniques from your 4th grade strings classes and practice and reinforce note reading, rhythms and note values.

8 Weeks – June 3-July 29 (No class on July 1)


For students entering grades 5-12, who have had a minimum of one year of violin.

Would you like to start the school year on a new instrument? Our Switch-A-Roo class will help you to switch from violin to viola, cello, or bass.

6 Weeks – June 10-July 22 (No Class July 1)


Performance July 22 at 11:00am

3 Age Groups: Grades 6-7 – Minimum 2 years’ experience

Grades 8-9 – Minimum 3 years’ experience

Grades 10-12 – Minimum 4 years’ experience

Do you love to make music with others? Is the practice room getting a little lonely? Explore a variety of musical styles while collaborating with other like-minded young musicians. Three different age groups in this six-week term culminating in a live performance! No audition is required, just a minimum experience requirement and a desire to have a great time making music with others.
