Elizabeth Pettinger, Voice
M.A., University of Nebraska at Lincoln, B.A., Mercyhurst College, Erie, PA
M.A. candidate, University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Liz is an active soloist in the Omaha Metro and has been a member of SNJ Studios since 2008. Although her classical training began at age 11, she had been performing long before that with her first solo performance at age 5.
A strength Liz brings to SNJ studios is her versatility when it comes to the voice. Although trained classically, Liz has performed in live cover bands, recorded country demos, been a featured soloist with Jazz bands as well as sang the national anthem for a variety of sporting events across the country from New York to Nebraska.
Most recently, Liz was featured on a Vocal Recital at Drake University as part of a duet from Lakme, titled, “The Flower Duet.” Other performances in which Liz has been featured are Mrs. Peterson in Bye, Bye Birdie, the second Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute as well as part of the cast for Tales of Hoffman, License to Marry, The Mikado, Falstaff and Grease. In 2009, Liz also placed 2nd in the Galaxy of the Stars competition at the Nebraska State Fair for her country performance. Country music is a love of Liz’s and she helps out occasionally by singing demos for colleagues that write music.
In Omaha, Liz can be seen filling in as a lead vocalist for the variety Band, Pink Kaddilac, as well as singing the national anthem at events such as the Men’s College World Series, the Omaha Lancers, Live Horse Racing, the Bellevue University Graduations and even a few Monster Truck Rallies! Liz also does a great deal of singing at her church and for weddings and funerals.
Lastly, if you listen closely you may hear a jingle or two on the radio featuring Liz’s vocals along with backup vocals for the show Omaha Live.
