Jenna McKain, Voice/Musical Theater/Show Choir Clinician

Jenna McKain received her B.M.E. in Vocal Music Education at Nebraska Wesleyan University where she was active in the University Choir, Touch of Class Vocal Jazz Ensemble, opera productions, and cabarets.

Jenna began her teaching career as the Vocal Music director at Ralston Middle School and after two short years became the director at Ralston High School where she directs two varsity show choirs, JV show choir, concert choir, various ensembles and an annual musical.

Jenna is a freelance choreographer for many middle and high school show choirs in Nebraska and Iowa, and is the former Assistant Show Choir Director at Millard West High School. She is a clinician and director for numerous clinics and camps at SNJ Studio of Music as well as a show choir adjudicator in Iowa and Nebraska.

Jenna’s background includes thirteen years of dance experience encompassing tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, and hip hop as well as being a former member of Millard West High School’s award winning show choir, West In The Groove (WIG). She is the former director of the children’s choir at First Plymouth Church and the Z Singers ensemble at Z Studio in Lincoln, NE.

Having begun her vocal training here at the SNJ Studio, as well as being a member of the very first SNJ Singers ensemble, she is thrilled to now be back teaching here at SNJ!
