With a resume of more than 30 roles, Melanie Walters has graced the stages of the Omaha Community Playhouse, Ralston Community Theatre, Bellevue Little Theatre, Chanticleer Theatre and Stages of Omaha. Favorite roles include Eva Peron (Evita), Aida (Aida), Velma Kelly (Chicago), Lucy Harris (Jekyll and Hyde), Cassie (A Chorus Line), Marta (Company), Little Becky Two Shoes (Urinetown), The Narrator (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Magenta (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) and Mary Magdalene (Jesus Christ Superstar). She has been nominated four times as Best Actress in a Musical by the Theatre Arts Guild and as Best Actress in a Musical in 2007 by the Omaha Entertainment Awards. Her one-woman cabaret, An Unlikely Ingenue: Songs from Broadway and Beyond, was staged at the PS Collective in Benson over Labor Day weekend.
