Rose Rydberg, Violin

Rose Rydberg holds both a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Music degree in Violin Performance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. While at UNO, Rose studied violin with Judy Divis and Ruth Meints, and clarinet with Cynthia Nichols. Through her career she has taught band, orchestra, and music technology. Currently, Rose splits her time teaching orchestra between McMillan Magnet Middle School and Omaha North High School.

Rose spends a great deal of time as an educator in the community, as well. Her educational outreach in the community includes time spent as a private violin/viola instructor, sectional coach for the Omaha Area Youth Orchestras, and as an

adjudicator for several music contests. Rose has also coordinated and organized the UNO String Olympics for the past 12 years. In addition, she performs regularly with Orchestra Omaha and in pit orchestras for community theaters.

In her personal life, Rose enjoys spending time with her husband and family, including their fur babies of four cats and one puppy.
