Jestin received his Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he studied viola with Clark Potter and composition with Greg Simon. He is currently the Associate Director of Instrumental Music at Burke High School in Omaha, where he directs both Chamber and String Orchestras. He also works with band and color guard, and previously directed color guard at Lincoln Northeast High School.
Jestin is involved as an instructor with the String Project, which is a combined effort of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Lincoln Public Schools and plays viola with Orchestra Omaha under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Meintz. In his free time, Jestin enjoys doing photography, hanging out with friends, and playing the occasional video game.
