JULY 13 - AUGUST 4, 2022

The Singing Actor, the first in our Musical Theater Intensive series, takes an in depth look at the elements involved in a polished, professional performance.

Our clinician for this intensive workshop is professional singer/actor Beth Leona King. Drawing on the concepts of Alisa Belflower (Area Head for Music Theatre Studies at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln), and her own extensive stage experience, Ms. King utilizes a three-pronged approach combining music, acting, and movement in layers to create a fully realized performance. This workshop is intended for the serious student of musical theater and those wishing to pursue a career in the arts.

The Singing Actor is open to high school students and adults who are eager to work hard to extend the boundaries of their expressive abilities. Class meets on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:30PM. Attendance at all classes and the showcase performance is mandatory, and necessary to the success of the endeavor.

There is no audition for this workshop, however, Ms. King will be meeting privately with each student prior to the date of the first class to assign music. She will contact you once you are registered.
