Sara Warner, soprano, holds degrees in voice performance from the University of Minnesota (M.M., 2017) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (B.M., 2013).
As a voice teacher, Sara’s experience ranges from elementary students through college-age. While she is a classically-trained soprano, she enjoys teaching a wide variety of styles and genres. During her studies at the University of Minnesota, Sara completed extensive academic research on the training of the musical theater performer.
Sara is an active performer in opera and musical theatre. Her stage credits include Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Liza Elliot(Lady in the Dark), Cinderella (Into the Woods), Antonia (Les contes d’Hoffmann), and Pamina (Die Zauberflote). Additionally, Sara has been featured as the soprano soloist in the Midwest premiere of John Taverner’s Requiem Fragments, and as a soloist in J.S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, with performances in both Minneapolis and Germany. Most recently, Sara was seen as Prima Ancella in Opera Omaha’s production of Medea.
Sara and her husband Tyler live in Papillion.
