SPOTLIGHT -
DIRECTED BY JENNIFER GRENIER

Spotlight offers an authentic show choir experience for singers in grades 4 and 5. Students learn vocal and dance technique, show building, and storytelling in a fun, positive atmosphere.  Music selections are chosen specifically to support the young, developing voice and are combined with dance routines that introduce the elements of show choir dance. Directed by veteran music educator Jen Grenier, Spotlight is an excellent preparation for middle school show choir.

This non-auditioned show choir performs at two major studio concerts, the Omaha Youth Choir Festival, and community events. 

Ensemble Requirements

  • Members must commit to rehearsals and performances for the entire season (Late August through early May)

  • Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 5:00-6:30 PM

  • There is a fee of $350, which covers tuition, and music. A $100 deposit must accompany applications. 

  • Spotlight members will also be required to purchase a costume and a T-shirt. Costume fee and remaining ensemble balance is due at the first rehearsal.  A payment plan is also available

CENTER STAGE -
DIRECTED BY KELLY WHISINNAND

Center Stage has gained a reputation as one of the finest middle school show choirs in the region. Directed by Kelly Whisinnand, Center Stage is a middle school treble show choir for grades 6-8. This non-auditioned ensemble, performs at two major studio concerts, and appears in festivals at Millard South Stars on Stage, Elkhorn North Northern Lights, Westside Battle of the Show Choirs, and Millard North Galaxy of Stars. Center Stage members come from schools throughout the Omaha metropolitan area and many are also involved in their own school show choirs.


Ensemble Requirements:
Members must commit to rehearsals and performances for the entire season. Rehearsals are Mondays from 5:00-6:30 PM. There is a fee of $370, which covers tuition, music, and festival fees. A $100 non-refundable deposit must accompany applications. Center Stage members will also be required to purchase a costume and a T-shirt. Costume fee and remaining ensemble balance is due in August, or a 3-month payment plan is also available.
