Andrea Eveland

Andrea first discovered her love for teaching piano as a teenager, when a family friend asked her to show her daughters the basics. Word spread quickly, and before long, Andrea was a traveling piano teacher, winding her way through rural northeast Nebraska. One of the unexpected perks? Students’ moms often insisted she stay for dinner!

Since those early days, Andrea has taught dozens of students, from preschoolers to adults, and delights in helping each one find their own musical voice. She’s passionate about fostering a lifelong appreciation for music, while building strong technique and confidence along the way.

Andrea earned her degree in music from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where she studied under the acclaimed Dr. Paul Barnes. She also spent a summer term at the Bösendorfer International Piano Academy in Vienna, Austria—an experience that deepened her love of classical music (and Viennese pastries).

A lifelong flutist, Andrea has led woodwind sectionals for the North Bend middle school band and continues to perform at weddings and community events. And when the world slowed down during the pandemic, Andrea picked up a ukulele on a whim. Turns out, she loved it so much she started teaching that too! Now she shares the cheerful strumming spirit with young students just starting their musical journey.

When she’s not teaching, Andrea works as a market researcher by day and teaches yoga by night. She’s an avid concertgoer and believes there’s room on every playlist for both T-Pain and Tchaikovsky.
