Job Smoot is a pianist and educator with over 15 years of experience teaching students of all ages, skill levels, and musical interests. He holds a degree in Piano Performance and a Master’s degree in Music Composition, and brings a creative and well-rounded approach to piano instruction.

In addition to teaching, Job has extensive experience working with choirs and vocalists, accompanying singers, and playing regularly for church services. This background gives him a practical understanding of music beyond solo performance, which he incorporates into his lessons.

With a particular strength in improvisation and composition, Job enjoys helping students explore creativity at the piano, whether through playing by ear, understanding chord progressions, or developing their own musical ideas. His teaching style is warm, flexible, and encouraging, meeting each student where they are and helping them grow with confidence and enjoyment.
